series 14 here we come !!

day 78 - CUTE Be@rbrick | ODEN KUN by LILY FRANKY

bright yellow, blue, and pink lipstick -

the colors on this be@rbrick reminded of an 80s party

this is the doing of renowned illustrator LILY FRANK.

for the backdrop of this be@rbrick i used the afro

of AFRO KEN since his afro resembles the same generation :)

series 15 finale

day 77 - 3 of a kind | buster kun by THE PILLOWS

for any poker player 3 of a kind would be awesome

but for a collector

its almost a nightmare to open 3 blind boxes

of the same kind !!

but i certainly made the best use of it !

day 76 - be@rbrick army | BASIC Gold Be@rbrick

an army of bling ...

what more can you hope for ?

and they spell out BE@R.

:)

anyway - this concludes my series 15 collection.

ninnnnnja trouble ... !

day 75 - a real 'photoshoot' ... where shells grow over night...

these shells don't belong to me

im completely violence free

but i have been meeting to do a photoshoot with them.

they did turn out great in the photos w/ my be@rbricks thats for sure

lil creatures trying to conquer the world ... :)

ninnnnnja !

day 74 - a ninja's forbidden passion ...

this ninja be@rbrick is part of my series 15 collection

i thought it would be clever to see a ninja

carrying a piece of a weapon that we will never see in reality. :)

the artist to this remarkable piece

is manga artist, tesuo hara.

he is known for the series, fist of the north star.

he didnt fail to intrigue us this time

with this well designed, detailed be@rbrick.

suicidal tendencies ...

day 74 - simply patterned ...

such an ill themed be@rbrick for patterns so remarkable

this was actually in collaboration with Suicidal Tendenices

this be@rbrick pattern without a doubt

brought this chinese vase to mind

which we had safely kept in our display cases forever.

the patterns, colors, and contrast is simply beautiful !!

(in my eyes) :)

inter racial

day 72 - ANIMAL be@rbrick series 15 | by THE PILLOWS

i suppose with the color schemes of these be@rbricks

i found it only made perfect sense to title this post

"inter racial"

we're all the same when you turn off the lights

:)

day 71 - HORROR be@rbrick series 15 | mohiro kitoh

so excited to share my dung beetle gray & white

by mohiro kitoh !

my sister thinks it looks horrifying.

but i think its adorable !

day 70 - CUTE be@rbrick series 15 | chiaki kuriyama

this B@BY be@rbrick should make any ones heart flutter !

i know it is a little early for easter !

but i had a bag of cadburry eggs

which i tossed all in a crystal bowl

and got a little easter festive with it :)

day 69 - SF be@rbrick series 15 | Evangelion EVA 00 & 01

these evangelion designs are awesome.

this is my 3rd evangelion be@rbrick.

and i give them props for being so creative

with all the characters.

day 68 - JELLYBEAN be@rbrick series 15 | blue

under the right light

this be@rbrick is super cute

but with dull lighting

this be@rbrick loses its transparency.

hence, i had a put a bright enough light behind him

in order to take the shots.

be@rbrick series 15 continues ...

day 67 - be@rbrick series 15 | evangelion eva-01

im not a fan of the anime

but i love the design on this be@rbrick

i think all the neon genesis evangelion be@rbricks rock

the patterns and designs are just amazing

and what better backdrop to fit this be@rbrick

then droid's RULE THE AIR backdrop

its all about using materials you already have to your convenience :)

day 66 - be@rbrick series 15 | andy warhol

growing up i associate andy warhol

to that portrait of marilyn monroe.

in college i learned more about warhold

but it never absorbed.

it's simple. he isnt my generation.

this name just always came and go in my mind.

but after acquiring this be@rbrick

there is no way andy warhol will just be a shadow in my life.

his art lives....

even in vinyl street art.

lets go gold !

day 65- be@rbrick series 15 | gold label only ...

again, someone else's trash is my gold :)

the gold chocolate bottles were a hand me down

after they had been over 2 yrs old...

who would have thought

they'd be so photogenic

:)

be@rbrick wknd ....

it was definitely a wild be@rbrick wknd ...

this wknd we got a be@rbrick rave party ....

then we took a trip to the mountains ....

day 64 - brrrrrrrrrbrick...... @ mtn high, wrightwood california

day 63 - total galactic be@rbrick | series 15

day 62 - be@rbrick gone wild | series 16

MJ

i introduce to you ... the japanese MJ

day 61 - making a be@rbrick statement .... |

animal be@rbrick 100% by MIURA JUN

i got this idea from months of listening to the greeks protest

all i can think bout are just lil men holding picket signs

trying to make a statement

when you're looking this cute

like this 100% animal be@rbrick designed by MJ

theres really no worries about no one listening to you :)

this is actually a really nice design

MJ who often designs Japanese cartoon and toys

finally gets to design designer vinyl with medicom be@rbrick.

its a good pair up for sure :)

day 60

day 60 - a brick through invention for be@rbricks'

i didnt foresee the outcome of this photo to be so gruesome

i took the two syringes that i normally use for my pet's meds

and placed it in my be@rbrick's arms....

i know this is more gruesome than what i normally post

hence, i really hesitated.

but the art on this vinyl is real awesome.

the details up close are amazing.

its just a little hard on the eyes

and perhaps a little disturbing to some.

but sometimes you just gotta be daring :)

be@r vs wild

day 59 - be@r versus. wild

stores are being flooded by easter supplies and decor right now

i couldnt help but to grab a bag of artificial grass

heres my animal be@rbrick from series 16

roughin' it up in the wild

be@rbrick artist

day 58 - be@rbrick series 16 | Artist
by Kaeruotoko

i love this photo! caught right in the act !

i pretty much just borrowed a bunch of lego pieces to complete this composition.

the boxes, newspaper, traffic light, and of course the diamond all couresty of LEGO

for the gamers...

day 57 - be@rbrick series 16 double the trouble

i am sure this is every collector's joy...

when you end up with two of the same kind ....

day 56 - PROTO MANNNNNN

i think alot of my friends were confused

when i started posting proto man and megaman, lost, and tron sets

they all assumed it was just a bear obsession i had

but little did they know we have them in human forms called ...

KUBRICKS

day 55 - MEGA MANNNN !!!

i grew up playing capcom's megaman

so when this hit the market

i couldnt resist but to pre-order it

along w proto man

be@rbrick MOVIE...

day 54 - just LOST

many of my days and nights were glued to finishing the dvd set of LOST

so i had no choice but to get my hands on this set

when i saw it sitting on the shelves collecting dust.

the set came with a little prop gun that i placed in jack's hand.

i positioned my be@rbrick in front of jack just to spice up the photo a bit.

and i had the skins of a tree trunk sitting in the back.

i had to strip that tree almost naked but the effect was well worth it.

day 53 - TRON

i loved this movie.

that is quite hard to claim when i fell asleep for a good 15 minutes.

but believe me,

i loved the story line.

and the CG was just mind blowing.

the movie was better than what i expected it to be.

this is only one of the many TRON be@rbricks i own.

using a black backdrop,

and a few glowsticks,

i tried to recreate the setting of TRON

day 52 - be@rbrick hatching

this completes my series 18 set,

which i got as a gift from a friend in HK.

because easter is coming,

we started getting milk chocolate cadbury eggs.

we devour a few bags a year.

my husband thought would be creative

to place a mini egg on my be@rbricks hand.

his nonsense produced an outcome cuter than expected.

be@rbrick series 18 ...

day 51 - hello kitty since 1976.

here we have hello kitty w/ the world in her hands.

i figure after 30 + yrs, over 1 billion in sales in the US alone,

shes definitely got the world in her hands.

i couldnt a globe.

but i managed to get a big round white candle.

it was either white or pink :)

day 50 - sponge bob & stimpy.

just a lazy sunday w/ sponge bob and stimpy.

this came w/ the basic series 18 set

so i really have no choice.

two of my least favorite characters on tv ....

submerging in my favorite kettle corn :)

day 49 - pattern be@rbrick. tetris.

i think if i were stranded on an island

with only one game boy game -

it would have to be tetris, no doubt !

this game is a classic !!!

day 48 - SF be@rbrick. terminator salvation. levitation.

the terminator !!!

this has to be everyones childhood movie !!

what i did was tape him again the wall

to give it the effect of levitation. haha.

just madness !

day 46 - a lil post valentine's day madness. be@rbrick series 18

here is a lil post v-day madness for you all.

nothing is more RED then LOVE.

im sorry for anyone with trypophobia,

but i certainly love the texture of the backdrop.

hand in hand

day 45 - be@rbrick series 13. hand in hand.

we have the characters from series 13 hand in hand

to show a lil love that is in the air.

happy valentine's day ! :)

happy valentine's day

day 44 - happy valentines day. bearbrick series 13

theres no better way to celebrate this holiday of love

than with flowers and be@rbricks!

thats certainly the way i prefer it - floral and vinyl :)
